I love taking care of my flowers and filling a flower vase to put see all the pretty colors.
One of my favorite things about summer is all the flowers.
Kids on the other hand do not have a very long attention span. So, I found a solution to help with that.

Step 1:
Draw your flower vases and color them.
Find some old cardboard and cut into strips. Draw an assortment of vases in all sizes and shapes. Then let your kids get to work coloring.
Step 2:
Poke holes for the flowers.
Use a pen or something sharp to poke holes above your vases to put in the flowers.
Step 3:
Fill your vase with flowers.
Last head outside and start picking some flowers. Push the stems through the holes to “fill” up your vases.
This an easy flower vase activity to do with your kids that gets them outside. It also is a great way to work on their fine motor skills with:
- Use of Pens, Crayons, Markers
- Picking Flowers
- Pushing Stems Through the Holes
We did this activity when there were hundreds of dandelions out in the yard so it was easy to fill up the vases but you can do it anytime with all sorts of flowers.
