Find the Perfect Spot
Finding the perfect spot doesn’t sound like a lot of work but there some things to keep in mind before you start.
- You want an area that you are not going to have to enter for a while
- Figure out your “ending” spot so you can start on the opposite side, or you may get stuck on the wrong side
- You are going to want it narrow enough or you will need a lot of streamers
I used our hallway as our perfect spot. The only downfall was it went in front of the bathroom, so I tried to make that portion a little easier for me to walk over.
Build Your Ninja Course
Next start at the far side and work your way back, so you don’t get stuck in a corner or on the wrong side.
Use painter’s tape and streamers to build your ninja course.
I tried to go back and forth from the bottom of one wall to halfway up the next. Alternating back and forth so they would have to go up and down to get under everything.
The kids loved this part, a lot of giggles were had during the construction of the ninja wall. Also, quite a few “fixes” until they understood the concept.
Have Fun!
Now that your course is made you can sit back and let the kids have hours of fun. You may need to hide the extra tape and streamers though. My kids decided that they wanted to build the ninja wall through the whole house…
At one point my kids decided that this was their fort instead and hauled their chairs and snacks to the back. Oh well, it still kept them busy.

This is a super cheap and easy way to keep the kids entertained while stuck in the house. Try this out the next time you are ready to pull out all your hair when the kids won’t stop fighting.
