Supplies
The fun part about making fruit popsicles is that you can customize it to your own preferences of fruit and flavors.
My kids love strawberries and blueberries, so we stuck we the classics.
Berry Fruit Popsicles
- Fresh blueberries
- Fresh strawberries
- Berry Blend Juice Concentrate, (It is frozen in the store)
- Water
- Popsicle Tray
- Bowl or Pitcher
Another option is to use frozen fruit but I wanted to be able to crush them up, so they were easier to eat in popsicle form.
This recipe can be customized to whatever fruit and concentrate that you prefer. Your combinations are endless.
How to Make Fruit Popsicles
The next part gets a little messy… but don’t worry it is worth the mess.
Prep Work
- If you are using a frozen concentrate like I did, then you are going to want to let it thaw ahead of time.
- I also cut up the strawberries to make them easier to work with in the next step.
Smashing Fruit
- I placed my fruit in a metal pan in an attempt to keep them contained while smashing. You can use whatever works for you, but I try to use whatever will end up with the least amount of cleanup. Or at least cleanup off the floor.
- Use a fork to smash up the fruit to your desired consistency.
- I didn’t have a specific measurement of fruit. I basically smashed it up enough to fill the molds about halfway with fruit,

Make Concentrate
- If you are using the frozen concentrate, then pour it into your pitcher or bowl and follow the directions on the package to add the required water.
- I used a bowl because I thought I would mix the fruit and concentrate. Well, I quickly changed my mind. Just make it in the pitcher.
- You can also just use a bottled fruit concentrate or juice if you prefer.
Fill Your Fruit Popsicles Mold
- First, I scooped the fruit into the mold to divide it up equally.
- Don’t worry about the fruit staying at the bottom or top of the mold. It will actually freeze pretty evenly.
- Next, pour the juice into the molds to fill them the rest of the way up.
- Last, place your handle into the mold.
Now comes the hard part…the waiting game. Place your fruit popsicles in the freezer. It will take a few hours to freeze. Just make sure they are level so it doesn’t spill.

Once they are frozen, take them out of the freezer and enjoy!
