Practice Workbooks
As a parent I was always worried that I wasn’t doing enough to teach my kids. Worried that they were falling behind or were not going to be ready for school.
No matter what you do, every child is different and learns at their own pace. You got this mama, no matter where they are at!
One night at our school’s ECFE night the parent teacher talked about how so many kids are starting school and don’t even know how to hold a pen or a scissors. They are all just used to using tablets and flicking their finger across the screen.

I am also a mom with tablets for my kids, sometimes you have to do what you have to do to survive those hard days, but I also wanted my kids to thrive in school.
One fun way I found to teach my kids was learn-to-write workbooks!
Learn-to-Write Letters
- Practice Capital and Lowercase letters
- Practice Writing Words
- Practice Fine Motor Skills
- Practice Tracing
I decided to create my own books for the kids to use. This was I could make them with the themes that they wanted and could print out the pages as I needed them.
The kids had a blast! They were also so proud of being able to make the letters. Even if they weren’t exactly right.
I also printed the pages out and put them in a binder with page protectors. Then with washable markers we can just wipe it off and start again. Just make sure your markers aren’t dried out or this will not work…trust me on this.
Learn-to-Write Numbers
- Practice Numbers
- Practice Counting
- Practice Fine Motor Skills
- Practice Tracing
- Dinosaur and Unicorn Themed
No matter what you do or how far along your kids are, every child is different and perfect in their own way.
